Lan Su Chinese Garden is dedicated to building a deeper understanding and respect for all cultures, immigrants and those marginalized by history and/or current events. The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to take away Americans’ constitutional right to reproductive freedom reverberates for us all. And it carries significant, real-life consequences for those who live in poverty and for people of color.
Prior to the Court’s ruling, Lan Su planned to announce “This is She,” a program series in July and August, highlighting the life stories of BIPOC female leaders in our community. The court’s decision makes these conversations even more urgent.
Because this is a time that demands action, as well as our voices, Lan Su Chinese Garden will donate all admissions proceeds on July 19 and 20 -- the 174th anniversary of the Seneca Falls Convention dedicated to women’s rights -- to organizations that protect and advocate for reproductive rights.
We are here with you.
