Pronounced “shyahng chi,” sometimes translated as “the elephant game.” Xiangqi is a strategy board game for two players. The game represents a battle between two armies; with the object of capturing the enemy's general (king).This form of chess has been played for many centuries throughout China and remains the most popular board games in China today.
