The Lingnan School style catches the eye with bright colors, bold strokes, and unique manipulations of blank space. Rather being overly meticulous, this particular style relies on its freehand brushwork to characterize striking outlines and vivid expression.
Included free with membership or admission; no registration is required.
Born in 1987 in Taipei, Taiwan, Amy Tsai has been interested in Chinese arts since she was a little girl. She first discovered Chinese brush painting in Yingge, a small town in northern Taiwan that is famous for its porcelain and ceramic arts. After years of practice, Amy now focuses on the Lingnan School of brush painting, a revolutionary and innovative take on traditional Chinese painting.
