Chris Chulos is a life-long farmer, poultry and horticultural enthusiast. From parakeets to pheasants, and a plethora of feathered friends in between, Chris is a well-known expert on fowl, providing engaging talks and bolstering the backyard flocks of many a local chicken keeper with a range of beautiful and exotic breeds. He is based in Oregon City.
Michelle Koeppe is long time educator at Lan Su Chinese Garden who also is addicted to keeping and studying chickens! She serves as a poultry show judge and is known as a local 'chicken maven'—giving workshops on keeping flocks, selling pullets, and intriguing people with her tame chickens. She is based in Sherwood.
Traditional lantern viewings close out Chinese New Year festivities when the garden glows with hanging red lanterns and the lake reflects the light of large illuminated lantern sculptures.
