Festival of Fragrance
March 20-31
See schedule for a full list of activities
The Festival of Fragrance is a celebration of all things fragrant. Over two weeks, the Garden will host a plant sale, a camellia display from the Oregon Camellia Society, and two weeks of activities.
The weekend of March 20 & 21, the Garden will host a plant sale featuring more than 20 local, specialized nurseries. Located just outside the Garden walls in the parking lot to the north of the Garden, the sale will feature Chinese plants including orchids, rhododendrons, camellias, edgeworthia, daphne, and bamboo--including many fragrant types and plants found within the Garden’s own collection. Proceeds of the plant sale support the Garden’s ongoing horticultural work.
While the plant sale is happening outside, inside the Garden will be alive with plant enthusiasts. Members of the Oregon Camellia Society will be on-hand to discuss and showcase their camellias and self-guided tours of the Garden’s camellias will be available.
Other activities include aromatherapy talks, flower arranging workshops with fragrant plants, and tours with the Garden’s horticulture staff of fragrant plants inside the Garden.
